Finding the right therapist can feel difficult when you are already emotionally overwhelmed, anxious or exhausted.

Many people seek therapy not because they are “falling apart”, but because they are tired of coping alone.

I offer pluralistic counselling and psychotherapy in Bristol for adults experiencing anxiety, emotional overwhelm, burnout, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, grief, life transitions and emotional disconnection.

My approach is relational, collaborative and tailored to you as an individual. I believe therapy is not one-size-fits-all. Different people need different things at different times, and therapy works best when you feel emotionally safe, understood and able to work at your own pace.

Therapy in Bristol

Bristol can be an exciting and creative city, but it can also feel emotionally demanding. Many people experience pressure from work, relationships, caregiving responsibilities, financial stress or the constant expectation to keep functioning despite exhaustion.

A calm and grounded space for therapy

I work with adults who may appear highly capable externally while privately struggling with:

  • anxiety and overthinking

  • emotional overwhelm

  • burnout and stress

  • people-pleasing

  • self-criticism

  • relationship difficulties

  • low self-worth

  • grief and loss

  • identity and life transitions.

Therapy can provide space to slow down, process emotional experiences and begin understanding patterns that may be affecting your wellbeing, relationships or nervous system.

I am trained in pluralistic counselling and psychotherapy, which means therapy is adapted collaboratively around your individual needs rather than following a rigid formula.

My work is informed by:

  • relational therapy

  • attachment theory

  • trauma-informed CBT

  • polyvagal understanding

  • embodiment and nervous system awareness

  • person-centred values

  • existential and Gestalt approaches.

Some clients want practical emotional support. Others want deeper self-understanding or long-term therapeutic work. Therapy can support both.

My therapeutic approach

What therapy can help with

Clients often seek therapy for:

  • anxiety

  • stress and burnout

  • emotional exhaustion

  • relationship difficulties

  • attachment issues

  • low confidence and self-esteem

  • bereavement and grief

  • trauma

  • feeling emotionally stuck

  • navigating change or uncertainty.

Sometimes people simply reach a point where they no longer want to continue carrying everything alone.

Starting therapy

Beginning therapy can feel unfamiliar or vulnerable. I aim to offer a calm, supportive and non-judgemental environment where you can explore your experiences safely and at your own pace.

I offer a free initial consultation to help you decide whether therapy with me feels like the right fit.
